Roisin Willis Champion Women's 800m, Juliette Whittaker 3rd Place - World Athletics U20 Championships 2022

Future Stanford teammates Roisin Willis and Juliette Whittaker of the United States ran to the gold and bronze medals in the women's 800-meter final at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia. Willis ran a personal-best 1:59.13, a championships record and the second-fastest time in U.S. prep history (behind Whittaker at 1:59.04). Whittaker ran 2:00.18 in the final, marking the second time in meet history the Americans have produced two female athletes on the 800 podium, along with Sammy Watson and Aaliyah Miller in 2016 in Poland.
