Nathan Green of the United States ran 3:39.44 for fifth place in the men's 1,500-meter final at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia. Green matched the best finish in the event by an American male athlete in meet history, along with Jason Pyrah in 1988 and Gabe Jennings in 1998.
